The Hindley Green Residents
Association ( HGRA ) is finally up and running as an Official Residents Association.
At the Annual General Meeting held on the 7th May 2008 chaired by the temporary chairman Barry Fagan, the constitution was adopted and the election of a new committee took place.
The meeting was then officially handed over to the newly elected chairman John Vickers. Other committee members elected were Secretary : Debbie Birchall, Vice Chairman: Sheila Woodward and Treasurer: Eric Dickens. Three other committee members were appointed: Jeff Unsworth, Ivy Dickens, Mike Lynch. It was also resolved that the remaining committee positions be offered at the June meeting.
The newly elected councilor for Hindley Green Ward, Bob Brierley, kindly donated £1000 from his Brighter Borough funding to the association to help get HGRA established.
Membership will be by application. All residents of the Hindley Green Ward are eligible for membership. Membership forms are available from the Secretary and can be completed and handed into any committee member.
Note: There is NO membership fee but donations will be accepted.

Congratulations to Mr Bob Brierley duly elected as Councillor for the Hindley Green Ward at the local election on the 1st May 2008.
Mr Brierley stood as a Political Party Independent.
