Hindley Green comprises four churches, ( St.John the Evangelist CE, Sacred Heart RC, The Family Church at Bethel & Hindley Green Methodist Church ).
There are three primary schools ( Hindley Green County Primary,
St John's CE Primary & Sacred Heart RC Primary )
            ST JOHN the EVANGELIST
The Church of Saint John the Evangelist is an Anglican Church seeking to serve the local community. We are a Christian Community, a Christian family, which tries to celebrate the gift of life spiritually and socially. Jesus has taught us to: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. And love your neighbour as yourself." (Mark 12:30f). This ties together the spiritual and the social and as a Christian community we try to love God and one another in worship, in work -- and in our daily living. Our Services are held at the following times. Please feel free to come along and attend any of our services as you are assured a warm and friendly welcome.

Our vision at Hindley Green Methodist Church is to be known as the Church where love and care is given to all;
where all ages are nurtured in the Christian faith; dedicated to serve the community; where young and old can worship God together.

Everyone will be made welcome at our services which commence at 10.00 a.m. each Sunday morning, together with activities for the younger
members of the congregation. (Tea and coffee served after the services with toast etc. on a monthly basis)
Holy Communion is as planned and the monthly plan is displayed in the church window.
Prayer Group meets on Tuesday evenings at 7.30 p.m. (approx. fortnightly)

The church is used throughout the week by various groups from parent and toddler groups to a slimming group.

We hold a regular coffee morning from 10.00  - 11.30 a.m. on the second Thursday of each month.  This is  a new venture and is open to
all just to drop in for coffee and a chat and meet up with friends.
